Right now I am a lvl 32 Sorceress, going down the DoT Path. So far, I am essentially completely finished with the path. The one thing I've noticed about the path is that it is a late bloomer path. Hand of Ruin is the first spell down the path you get and is really the best part of the path. Its a single target channel spell with 100ft range. It ticks off for 3 ticks of dmg every 2 seconds over 6 seconds. At my lvl, it can do 1200 dmg critical hits with 100 Dark Magic. Stacked with the 2 other long range dots, that spell can bring down a lvl 40 Ironbreaker to 1/2 health. If I can put on my AoE dot (65 ft range) then I can bring it down to 1/4th life by the end of the dots. In PvP, people have a tendancy to group up makeing that aoe dot great, especially when combined with Dark Pit. Useing those 2 spells I can kill anything but a tank if they stand in the area of effect of the 2 spells for full duration. As both will crit for around 600, and each has 5 ticks of dmg. So thats a total of 6000 dmg if all ticks on both spells crit, and only tanks have more HP then that.

Well I decided to change to the path of the DoTs. I think I like it better at 22 then single target. I get an AoE DoT that follows the target. So if its all alone, then I use the spell, it will be effected, then if it moves into a group, the group will be effected. Its nice, 115 dmg every 3 sec for 15 sec. Not much, but when stacked with my 3 other DoTs, can be nasty.
